Milk Tart Ice-Cream

with Churro Cups

A modern take on milk tart! An easy Milk Tart Ice-Cream Recipe.

NOTE: Requires overnight freezing

* Tip
 Place First Choice Velvet in the freezer for 1 hour before use
Ingredients
For the ice-cream:
 1 l First Choice Vanilla Velvet
 1 ½ tbsp cinnamon
For the churro cups (makes 8)
 1 cup water
 1 tbsp brown sugar
 ½ tsp salt
 1 cup First Choice Butter, cubed
 1 cup flour
 1 tsp vanilla essence
 4 eggs

Directions
For the ice-cream:

Beat the chilled Vanilla Velvet in an electric mixer until thick (roughly 5mins).
Stir in the cinnamon.

Place in a container, and freeze overnight.

For the churro cups:

In a saucepan, heat the water, butter, sugar, salt and flour together on a medium heat until thick.

Add the vanilla essence and mix.

Mix in the eggs, one at a time.

Make sure the dough is thoroughly mixed, then place in a piping bag.

Pipe the dough into a greased muffin pan.

Freeze the dough in the muffin pan.

Deep-fry the frozen cups.

Coat in cinnamon sugar, then scoop the milk tart ice-cream into the cups.
Top with more cinnamon sugar to serve.
