Strawberry Pavlova

Show them you love them with a heart-shaped pavlova!

* Tip
 Place First Choice Velvet in the freezer for 1 hour before use
Ingredients
For the pavlova:
 4 egg whites
 1 cup castor sugar
 2 tsp cornflour
 1 tsp vinegar
For the topping:
 1 l First Choice Strawberry Velvet
 Fresh strawberries, for decoration
 Chocolate shavings, for decoration
 Berry Coulis (store bought or you can make it yourself)

Directions
For the pavlova:

Pre-heat the oven to 150 °C

Beat the egg whites until they reach soft peaks.

Gradually add the castor sugar.

Beat until white and glossy.

Add the cornflour and vinegar, and beat the mixture for another half a minute.

Spread the mixture into 2 heart shapes of the same size onto baking paper.

Bake for 40 minutes and set aside to cool.

For the assembly:

Beat the chilled First Choice Strawberry Velvet with an electric beater until thick and fluffy (roughly 5mins).

Place one pavlova on a plate.

Spread the coulis over the pavlova, then add a layer of the Velvet.

Place the next pavlova on top.

Spread more Velvet over the top, and serve with sliced strawberries and chocolate shavings.
