Butterscotch Velvet Loaf (Banana Bread)

During our #FUNFILLEDVELVET Competition, one of our winners entered with this delicious Banana Bread Recipe.  We tried it out and we approve! This is the perfect tea-time treat for those lazy Sundays, served with some First Choice Butter, Warm Butterscotch Velvet or even some cream cheese.

Sliced Banana Bread served with cream cheese and tea.


  • 2 Ripe bananas, mashed
  • 1 Banana sliced
  • 3/4 Cup white sugar
  • 1 Egg
  • 1/4 Cup melted butter
  • 1 1/2 Cups cake flour
  • 1 Teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 Teaspoon salt
  • 1 Cup First choice Velvet Dessert Butterscotch
  • Warm First Choice Velvet Butterscotch for serving.


  1. Mix all ingredients well with electric beater
  2. Pour into a well greased bread pan
  3. Pack sliced banana on top of your bread mixture
  4. Bake for 40 min at 170 °C
  5. Allow to cool, and serve with warm Velvet Butterscotch Dairy Dessert
