Ingredients:
- 7 croissants, halved
- 500ml FIRST CHOICE milk
- 3 eggs
- salt and black pepper for seasoning
- 5ml smoked paprika
- 200g cooked, chopped bacon
- 1 onion, sliced and saluted until golden brown
- 250ml FIRST CHOICE Cheddar Cheese, grated
- 110g FIRST CHOICE Brie, sliced (you can add 200g if you like it richer)
- fresh thyme for sprinkling
Preparation method:
- Preheat the oven to 180°C and grease and line (with baking paper) a 24 cm loose bottomed cake tin.
- Mix the milk and eggs together to make the egg custard. Season with the salt, pepper and smoked paprika.
- Cut the croissants in half with a breadknife.
- Place the halved croissants in a dish and pour over the egg custard.
- Place half of the soaked croissants in the lined cake tin.
- Sprinkle over the bacon, cheese and onion.
- Add the brie slices and fresh thyme.
- Top with the rest of the soaked croissants halves.
- Bake ±30 minutes in the preheated oven.
- Cool for 15 minutes and remove from the cake tin.
- Place on a platter. Add more bacon and baby tomatoes to serve!Enjoy!
